Setting up Splashtop Premium

What is Splashtop Premium?

Splashtop Premium presents an extensive range of remote access features that equip admins and technicians with the best capabilities that Splashtop has to offer, including:

  • Session recording

  • Multi-monitor support

  • Concurrent sessions


📝 Note: Splashtop Premium is available exclusively for use by MSP admins and technicians only.


Prerequisites:

1. Ensure you have acquired the Splashtop license through SuperOps, as Splashtop Premium is incompatible with the Bring Your Own License (BYOL) option.

2. It is mandatory that technicians install the exclusively designed Splashtop Viewer app on the asset they want to remote in from.

To get the app, use the following links:

3. Go to Settings and select Roles and Groups. Under Technician roles, grant "View" permission for assets to your MSP admins or technicians. Similarly, enable "Remote Desktop" for them to initiate remote sessions.


📝Note: The new Splashtop Viewer app is still in the beta phase.


How billing works:

  1. The billing cycle starts on the first day of the month and ends on the last day of the month.

  2. Your invoice for the current month will be generated on the 5th of the following month.

  3. Adding a new technician, even on the last day of your billing cycle, will be included in your current invoice.

  4. Removing a technician during the current billing cycle will only impact the pricing on your next billing cycle.

  5. Enabling Splashtop Premium will automatically include newly added technicians in the license.

Configuring Splashtop Premium:

To add Splashtop Premium from SuperOps,

  1. Navigate to Marketplace > Splashtop.

  2. Inside the Add-On tab, you’ll find Splashtop Premium listed.

  3. Click on “Purchase License” to subscribe to Splashtop Premium.


📝Note: Splashtop Premium can only be enabled for all technicians collectively; individual selection or removal is not supported.


4. On the purchase page, you’ll be able to view the number of technicians charged and the total price.

5. Complete the purchase by clicking the "Buy License" button.

6. You can also end the subscription by clicking “Cancel Subscription” as shown below.

7. Ensure all your technicians have downloaded the new Splashtop Viewer app designed exclusively for SuperOps to use the features offered by Splashtop Premium.


⚠️ IMPORTANT: Billing for all technicians will occur at the end of the billing period, and once saved, charges are irreversible.


8. The Premium add-on page provides a summary of the current number of technicians enabled for Splashtop Premium.


📝 Note: Here are the local currency prices for Splashtop Premium:

USD: $15.00 per technician

EUR: €15.00 per technician

GBP: £13.00 per technician

AUD: $25.00 per technician


Initiating remote sessions from the technician portal:

To initiate remote sessions,

  1. Navigate to Modules > Endpoints

  2. In the asset list view, you will find the Tools icon on the left when you hover over any particular asset.

  3. Click on the tools icon and select Splashtop to initiate a remote session.

4. Or, click on any asset, and you will find the Remote button on the top right corner of the page. Choose Splashtop to initiate the remote session for that asset.


📝Note: Once Splashtop Premium is enabled, integration takes approximately 5 minutes to affect all online assets. For offline assets, integration occurs when they come back online.
