Configuring Splashtop at a policy level
Updated yesterday

In SuperOps, you can now configure Splashtop at the policy level for different clients with granular control over your remote desktop settings. Earlier, it was possible to configure Splashtop only at a global level with settings applying across all clients and sites. Now, you can be as granular as you like and customize the way you want Splashtop to work for different clients.

Note: Policy level changes for Splashtop will not work if you use your own (BYOB) Splashtop license. It will work only if you use the SuperOps license.

How to configure Splashtop at a policy level

1. go to Settings > Policy Management.

2. Select your desired policy set and click Remote Desktop.

3. Turn on the toggle button to enable Splashtop.

4. Configure your Basic Settings. Hit Save once done.

Note: If you are an existing user who currently has Splashtop configured at a global level, your Splashtop settings will be reset to the default states mentioned below in SuperOps. Please ensure you change the settings to your desired needs.

Things to note

1. If you use Asset Group-based policy, the most recently created asset group's policy will take precedence.

2. Splashtop Work From Home and Splashtop Premium will apply only when Splashtop is enabled at the policy level. The settings configured at the policy level will apply as is on the requester's end as well.

3. The Remote and Install Splashtop buttons will appear in the asset page only if Splashtop policy is installed and enabled for that particular asset. If Splashtop policy is disabled, these options will not be available in the UI.
