Working with assets

All you need to know to navigate the asset details page for accessing asset-specific information and working with them.

Working with assets in reflects similar design principles as that of the PSA modules to ensure a minimal learning curve and tight integration with PSA to make life easy for technicians.

📝Note: To work with assets, they need to be brought into the system by agents. Click here to know more about deploying them.

Navigating the Asset Page

You can navigate to the asset detail page using any of the following ways:

  1. Select Asset from Modules > Assets. Under Asset views, you can select All assets to see the list of all the available assets. You can select a particular asset to view its corresponding details.

  2. You can also view assets that were offline for the past seven days or more from the Inactive Assets tab under Asset List view.

    📝Note: All assets and Inactive assets are default asset views.

3. Click on an associated asset from a ticket (bottom right corner).

Assets Summary

The initial screen of an asset page gives all crucial information to quickly check asset parameters, patch status, documentation, view associated tickets, ability to take remote control or run a script. You are just couple of clicks away from jumping to the linked asset from a ticket and hop back to the ticket to continue where you left.

Any further information you would need is right behind a click!

  • Details: This section gives you more drilled-down operational details that happened across crucial parts of the client machine such as the CPU, Memory, Disc volume, Network Adapters, and Windows services. Ability to start, stop, restart Windows service and Stop process for CPU, Memory and Open ports is possible.

  • Apps: Shows a list of software installed on the asset. You can manually start, stop or restart services using the Windows service option. Managed software houses all the list of software installed via only.

  • IT Documentation: This shows all recorded documentation associated with this asset.

    📝Note: You can add attachments also to link your asset to other (non-monitored) assets by clicking the 'Associate other assets' option. This includes any files (such as troubleshooting or debugging guides) or IT documentation.

  • Policy: Shows the list of policies that have been applied to the asset. Click here to know more about setting up policy sets.

  • Tickets: This shows the list of tickets associated with this asset. If you're working on an issue, it's always helpful to see if the asset has a history of the same issue in recent times, which can be greatly helpful in making decisions.

  • Alerts: You can find all the alerts triggered by an asset listed here. You can also manually resolve these alerts once you've taken care of the issue.

  • Patches: Show a list of patches that have been run on the asset and their status (Completed/Failed) with timestamps.

  • Scripts: Shows a list of upcoming scheduled scripts and scrips that were executed and their output.
