You can create unmonitored assets in SuperOps to organize devices that do not require monitoring. You can keep a record of these unmonitored assets and track their basic information without having to install the SuperOps agent.

You can create specific asset classes for different types of unmonitored assets, like keyboards, monitors, etc., to keep them organized.

Creating unmonitored asset classes

  1. Navigate to Settings > Asset Management > Asset Class.

  2. You will find a list of monitored and unmonitored asset classes.

  3. Click the "+ Create" button located at the top right corner of the screen.

4. Provide a name and choose an icon for the asset class.

5. Customize the class by dragging and dropping custom fields from the right-hand panel.

6. Once customized, click "Save" to create the new unmonitored asset class.

Adding Unmonitored Assets to Asset Classes

Once the unmonitored asset classes are established, you can add assets that do not require monitoring under them.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to Modules > Assets > All Assets

  2. Click the +New Asset button on the top right corner of the screen

3. Give a name for the asset and select the appropriate asset class.

4. You will see the custom fields you have created for that asset class pop-up.

5. Assign a client, site, and requester to the asset.

6. Once you are done, click "Save" to create the unmonitored asset.

Additionally, assets can be added from the tickets page.

To do that,

  1. On the right-hand side of the tickets page, locate the "+ Asset" icon.

2. Click on the icon to view a list of assets linked to the requester.

3. Select the assets to be associated with the ticket and hit "Save" to successfully link the asset to the ticket.
