Getting started with asset management
Updated over 2 years ago

Asset management is hard. It's even harder when you're doing it at scale—handling multiple clients with hundreds of diverse assets across cities and countries. That's why we built SuperOps.ai's asset management with the core purpose of keeping things simple while giving you absolute control over your asset network.

With a detailed asset view, an agile asset workspace, and powerful automation, you can get an atomic view of asset info and proactively keep your asset network running smoothly.

In this section you'll learn how to:

  • download and deploy agents on your client's Windows and Mac assets

  • navigate the asset module for information and perform different asset actions

  • set up custom fields for assets to store unique information

Things to know

Before we jump into setting things up, here are some cool things about our asset management you should know:

  • The asset section provides easy access to important asset-related functions such as alerts, asset views, patches, scripts, and IT documentation, just one click away.

  • Filters and columns help you organize your data and zero in on just the assets you want to see.

  • Inside an asset, you'll find all of the asset's information neatly categorized into different tabs. The summary tab is the default tab that gives you a bird's eye view of metrics that outline the device's overall health and a timeline of all events that have taken place in the asset.

  • You can dig in and learn about the asset in depth using the remaining set of tabs: details, apps, IT documentation, policies, tickets, alerts, patches, and scripts.

  • You can run automated scripts or patches to fix any issues with the asset and keep it running smoothly.

Terms we use

Monitored assets

Apps

This tab displays a list of software and processes running on the asset.

Details

This tab displays an exhaustive, in-depth list of metrics that the technician can analyze to identify issues.

Now you have all the context you need to glide through the resources in this module to find the solutions you're looking for!
