Learn how you can connect with Bitdefender to manage the security of your devices on a policy level and protect against digital threats.
It goes without saying, you can’t make compromises when it comes to the security of your client’s assets. It’s important to have a solid cybersecurity solution in your tech stack to ensure that you can proactively close gaps in vulnerability and keep client networks safe and healthy.
That’s why we integrated with Bitdefender: to give you quality cybersecurity tools that can provide comprehensive solutions for your client environments.
What is Bitdefender?
Bitdefender is a leading cybersecurity tool that enables MSPs to protect devices from spyware, malware, and an array of malicious online threats.
With this integration, you can automatically install and manage Bitdefender on your client machines through SuperOps on a policy level and proactively manage digital threats using routine antivirus scans.
Now that we’ve covered what this integration can do for you, let’s jump into how you can set up the integration in SuperOps.
How you can set it up
Click the settings icon on the pane to the left. On the settings page, scroll down to the bottom, and select marketplace.
On the marketplace page, you’ll find a list of available tools that you can integrate within SuperOps. You’ll find Bitdefender under the antivirus section. Click Integrate to start the configuration process.
Before you get started, please ensure that you have a paid, active Bitdefender GravityZone subscription. Log in to your Bitdefender account to obtain the necessary pieces of information to connect your Bitdefender account with SuperOps.
Once you're logged in to Bitdefender, the first thing you'll need is the API access URL. This access URL helps the platform identify which region your account is from. You can find this in the My Account section, under Control Center API.
The second thing you'll need is the API key. This API key authenticates the connection between both tools, and helps us retrieve package information about the devices in your network. You can find the API key in the Control Center API section as well.
Please ensure that the API key provided has access to the Packages API, Network API, and Companies API in Bitdefender. We recommend that you use this API key solely for integrating with SuperOps.
Once you've filled in both fields below, click connect to complete the connection process and start syncing your database across both tools.
Next, you’ll need to map clients and packages with Bitdefender. You can map existing clients, or create new clients in SuperOps as new clients in Bitdefender. You can then map the different security packages available in Bitdefender to each client, based on the level of security they’ve opted for.
Important: While creating an installation package in Bitdefender, it is recommended to uncheck the 'Remove Competitor' option to ensure smooth installation.
📝 Note:
You’ll need to configure the installation packages during configuration or at the policy level to install Bitdefender in the client’s devices.
You cannot create installation packages within the platform. You can create them in Bitdefender, and map them to clients in SuperOps.
You can start applying Bitdefender as an antivirus policy by opening the policy set you want and selecting Bitdefender under the antivirus section.
Once the policy has been applied, Bitdefender will be installed in all the assets that the policy applies to. You can either do a quick scan, a deep scan, or uninstall Bitdefender from the device.
📝 Note:
The installation package mapped at the policy level will override the installation package during configuration.
