Importing unmonitored assets in SuperOps

Updated this week

In this article, you’ll learn how to import unmonitored assets in bulk into SuperOps using a CSV file. This feature makes it easy to migrate a large number of passive assets, such as iPhones, 4G modems, or monitors, into your system in one go.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure the Asset Class is already created manually in SuperOps.

Steps to Bulk Import Assets

  1. Go to Modules > Assets.

2. In the Assets Dashboard, click the CSV File option in the top-right corner.

3. In the pop-up, select the Asset Type and click Continue.

4. The File Import Modal will open. Upload your CSV file with unmonitored assets.

5. Select the header row:

  • The system will pre-select the row it detects as column headers (e.g., Asset Name, Asset Type, Asset Class).

  • If the file has no headers or the selection is incorrect, you can adjust it before continuing.

  • Click Confirm selection and continue.

6. Match your columns:

  • SuperOps will use AI to suggest matches between your CSV headers and system fields.

  • Review each mapping, make corrections if needed, or ignore fields you don’t want to import.

  • Once confirmed, click Confirm matching and continue.

7. Bulk fix data:

  • If there are inconsistent or invalid values (e.g., mismatched clients or dates), SuperOps will highlight them.

  • Review the system’s suggestions, make corrections, or clear mismatches.

  • Once cleaned, click Continue.

8. Review and edit:

  • A preview of your assets will appear, with errors highlighted in red.

  • Use Show rows with errors to isolate problematic rows.

  • Use Find and replace to quickly fix recurring issues.

  • You can also export the data for offline correction.

  • Once everything is accurate, click Finish to complete the import.

9. After processing, you’ll receive an email notification with:

  • The number of successfully imported assets.

  • A failure log (if any rows couldn’t be processed).
