Configure Android Kiosk Policies

Configure Android Kiosk Policies to secure and manage dedicated devices effectively in SuperOps.

This feature allows you to securely manage your corporate-owned Android devices by locking them to a single public app from the Play Store, while permitting necessary background apps to run silently.

Getting Started with Android Kiosk Policies

To begin configuring your dedicated devices, follow these steps :

  1. Navigate to the Settings menu and select Policy Management to view the list of available hierarchical and advanced policies.

The Apps section is divided into two parts: Kiosk App and Background Apps.

Kiosk App Select the single app that devices will run in kiosk mode. Only one app can be selected per policy. To replace the current app, click Replace via Playstore and select a new app from the Play Store.

Background Apps Background apps are essential for keeping critical processes running. Add apps that need to run silently in the background while the device is in kiosk mode.

To add a new background app, click the Add from Play Store button. This opens a modal where you can search for and select apps directly from the Google Play Store.

For each background app, you can choose to Install/Update it automatically on the device or Block it using the radio buttons. To remove an app from the list, click the delete icon.
