Defining support for Operating Systems nearing End of Life

Updated over 2 weeks ago

As operating systems reach their End of Life (EOL), SuperOps adjusts support to ensure we remain secure, compliant, and aligned with modern environments. Read below to understand how support is defined for operating systems that are deprecated versus those currently supported.

Deprecated versions

These are operating system versions where we will no longer update the SuperOps agent.

  • All the current features will continue to function as they are today.

  • Any new features released after today will not be available.

  • Issues that arise due to the OS being outdated will not be fixed.

  • The agent will still run, but it will remain in a “frozen” state—stable with existing features, but without new updates or fixes.

Windows: Windows 8.1 or older

Windows Server: Windows Server 2012 or older

macOS: Catalina 10.15 or older

Currently supported versions

These operating systems will continue to receive updates, new features, fixes, and full support from SuperOps.

Windows: Windows 10 and above

Windows Server: Windows Server 2016 and above

macOS: macOS Big Sur 11 and above

What this means for you

  • Agents on deprecated OS versions will not break. They’ll keep working with the features you already have.

  • No new features or bug fixes will be provided for deprecated OS versions.

  • To take advantage of improvements and maintain compatibility, we strongly recommend migrating your endpoints to a currently supported OS.
