The SuperOps Mac agent now runs natively on Apple silicon and Intel Macs, with no Rosetta 2 needed. See what’s changing and how to check your agent version.

What is happening

Rosetta 2 is an Apple tool that lets apps built for Intel chips run on Apple silicon Macs (M1 to M5). Earlier versions of the SuperOps Mac agent used Rosetta 2.

Apple is phasing out Rosetta 2. Upgrading to macOS 27.0 or 27.1 removes it, and macOS 28 ends support for most Intel apps. On those Macs, an older SuperOps agent could stop running and the Mac shows offline.

SuperOps has built a native Mac agent for both Apple silicon and Intel Macs, with no Rosetta 2 needed, so your business continuity is not affected.

Who is affected

Any Mac in your organization running a SuperOps agent older than version 202610153777. Apple silicon Macs upgrading to macOS 27.0 or 27.1 are affected first.

What happens next

  • SuperOps is automatically updating the agent on all of your organization's Macs

  • All your Macs will be on the new agent by November 15, 2026

  • Any Mac you add later gets the new agent automatically

How to check your agent version

  1. Go to Assets > Endpoints.

  2. Choose Agent version from the columns list.

  3. Check the version for each Mac. Version 202610153777 or later means the Mac has the new agent.

  2. Upgrading a Mac to macOS 27? Contact support first so we can update your agent before you upgrade.
