Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment (KME) enables zero-touch enrollment for corporate-owned Samsung Android devices. Any device added to your Samsung Knox Admin Portal, whether purchased through a Samsung-authorized reseller or added independently, is automatically enrolled once it's powered on and connected to a network. These devices check in with Samsung Knox servers and enroll into SuperOps as fully managed or kiosk assets, eliminating manual setup.
Before you begin
To set up Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment, make sure you have the following requirements in place:
A Samsung Knox customer account and access to the Samsung Knox Admin Portal.
Samsung Android devices added to your Samsung Knox Admin Portal.
Your Android enterprise account connected to SuperOps. For details, see How to set Up Android zero-touch enrollment.
Note
Samsung devices must be running Knox 2.4 or higher.
If your devices were not purchased through an authorized reseller, you can still enroll them using the QR code enrollment method within the Samsung Knox Admin Portal. When creating your enrollment profile, enable "Also allow QR code enrollment for devices not uploaded by a reseller," then use the generated QR code to enroll those devices.
How to configure Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment
Follow these steps to generate the configuration details in SuperOps and apply them in your Samsung Knox Admin Portal:
Within SuperOps, navigate to Settings->MDM configurations and choose the client you'd like to set this up for. Click the Samsung KME tab to view the configuration screen.
Choose your enrollment settings, including the enrollment type (Fully managed or Kiosk), Site, Device Category, and Associated Requester. Optionally, select the option to retain system apps, then click Generate Inputs to generate the APK URL and JSON configuration.
Open the Samsung Knox Admin Portal in a new tab. In the left navigation menu under Knox Mobile Enrollment, select Profiles, and click Create profile.
In the profile creation wizard, enter a profile name and description, select EMM as the solution to install, and click Next.
On the EMM Information page, select Other from the Select your EMM dropdown menu. Copy the APK URL from SuperOps and paste it into the Link to agent APK field, then click Next: Configure.
On the Configure page, select DPC extras from the left-hand menu. Copy the JSON configuration from SuperOps and paste it into the DPC extras text box. Under System apps, select whether to enable or disable system apps, then click Next: Review.
Review your profile settings and click Save or Submit to complete the profile creation. Your new profile will appear in the Profiles list.
Select your devices in the Knox portal and click Assign to devices to assign the newly created enrollment profile to them.
Power on the assigned Samsung devices and connect them to Wi-Fi or a cellular network. The devices will automatically check in and enroll into SuperOps.
Managing your enrolled Samsung devices
Once enrollment is complete, you can monitor and manage these assets directly within SuperOps:
Navigate to the Assets module.
Under Asset views, select Android or Android Kiosk to view your newly enrolled corporate-owned assets.
