SuperOps allows you to manage and monitor your Mac devices directly from the device details page. MDM controls provide secure, OS-level actions such as locking, restarting, erasing devices, and validating security posture.
This article explains how to use these built-in MDM controls and where to find them within the device view.
You will find the list of your Mac devices under the "Assets" page.
1. Remote MDM Actions
Available controls:
Lock the screen – Immediately locks the device.
Restart – Restarts the Mac remotely.
Shut Down – Powers off the device.
Erase Device – Wipes the device. If enrolled via ADE, it will re-enroll after reset.
These actions are executed through Apple’s MDM framework.
2. Security Information
This section provides visibility into:
Activation Lock status
System Integrity Protection
Apple Silicon status
Passcode presence
Device locator service
Diagnostic settings
This helps verify security posture and device compliance.
3. Network & Cloud Information
Wi-Fi MAC address
Bluetooth MAC address
Network tethered status
iTunes Store account status
Cloud backup information
This section provides network-level and Apple service visibility for the device.
4. MDM Status
Device UDID
DDM Status
Only devices with active MDM status can receive MDM commands.
MDM controls give you direct operating system–level authority over enrolled Mac devices. You can perform secure remote actions, validate compliance posture, and manage device behavior without physical access.
When combined with the SuperOps RMM agent, this becomes a powerful management model. MDM ensures enforcement and OS-level control, while the agent provides operational monitoring, automation, and software deployment flexibility.
Together, they deliver both compliance and day-to-day device management in a single unified platform. Please refer to agent-based controls here
