What’s in the Report?

The Labour Revenue Report is split into three sections:

  • Revenue Overview

  • Service Utilization

  • Technician Utilization

Revenue Overview

The Revenue Overview section provides a snapshot of key financial metrics:

  • Labour Revenue: Refers to the income earned from services billed hourly for all the technicians.

How it is calculated:

Labour Revenue = Sum of the total revenue generated through services of type 'hour'.

  • Effective Labour Revenue: This metric represents the average revenue per billable hour and helps identify which services are most profitable.

How it is calculated:

Effective Labour Revenue = Sum of the total revenue generated through services of type hours/ Sum of the total hours logged by all technicians

  • Annual Labour Revenue (YTD): Tracks the total labor revenue earned year-to-date.

How it is calculated:

Annual Labour Revenue (YTD) = The sum of the revenue generated from January of the current year to the current month. (for all the hourly items)

Service Utilization:

This section highlights your top and least profitable services so you know which ones are driving your business forward.

Here you’ll see a list of the top 10 and least 10 services by profit, along with the number of hours billed for each.

Technician Utilization

Want to see how your team is performing? This section breaks it all down. You’ll get a list of the top 10 and least 10 technicians based on profit.

It shows you how much revenue each technician is generating, how much profit they’re bringing in after costs, and what they’re costing you overall.

By looking at this data, you can see how well your resources are being used:

  • High Utilization: Great! You’re getting the most out of your team.

  • Low Utilization: Time to rethink project assignments, scheduling, or maybe invest in training.
