As an MSP, you’ve probably lost count of the number of alerts you get each day. But you had to look closer and see how many alerts were actually meaningful... well, you know the needle in the haystack metaphor. One dummy alert isn’t much, but more and more of them over time can really add up to a lot of noise, and that cuts into your productivity and how efficient you can be with your everyday operations.

That’s why we at felt compelled to build a solution that kept the noise down and delivered only the alerts that mattered, and we did exactly that.’s industry-first AI-powered intelligent alerts help you avoid the alerts that eat away at your time and proactively fix issues, even before your client knows there’s a problem.

How it works

The platform takes the time to deeply understand your client device—its schedules, its behaviours, and its routines. It then connects the dots in the collected data to create patterns and identify anomalies that fall outside them. The platform then flags these anomalies, assigns a priority level based on the variation of the anomaly, and generates an alert.

You can define a set of actions to be performed by the platform automatically once the alert has been generated. Let’s dive into what those actions are, and how you can set them up.

How to set up intelligent alerting

1. Click the settings icon on the pane to the left. In the settings page, select policy management under the asset management section.

2. Once you’re inside, select the policy in which you’d like to set up intelligent alerting. The configuration screen for intelligent alerting should look something like this.

3. Unlike the usual alert management configuration, you won’t need to set up conditions or criteria here. All you have to do is push the toggle button to activate intelligent alerting and will start collecting and analyzing data from all the assets under this policy set.

4. You can use intelligent alerting for three categories: CPU usage, memory usage, and disk usage. Select which categories you'd like to enable intelligent alerting for using the toggle on the right.

5. Next, you can configure the actions that you want the platform to perform. You can perform three types of actions:

  • Create an alert

  • Raise a ticket: You can choose an existing ticket template or create a new template to define how the AI-generated ticket will be raised.

  • Send an email notification: You can choose an existing email template or create a new template to define how the AI-generated email notification will be sent.

6. To reduce noise even further, define a cooling-off period to stop alerts for a certain period of time, if the AI detects an anomaly that you’re already aware of.

7. Once you’re done, click save to complete the configuration process and start getting intelligent alerts.

📝 Note:

  1. This feature will be available to users in the RMM only and Super plans.

  2. The platform takes 25 days to fully analyze the data of your client’s network assets for CPU and memory usage, after which it will begin generating alerts.

AI-generated alerts will be visible in the alerts tab of the asset experiencing issues, distinctly marked by an AI badge.

Once you have an idea of what the issue is, you can decide on your next actions, fix the issue, and resolve the alert.
